Privacy Policy

Short version: CrispyCore does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything stays on your device and your iCloud account.

Overview

CrispyCore is built by Octo Studio. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it's used, and how it's stored.

Data We Store

Workout data. Your workout sessions, exercise logs, progress, and streak history are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device except via iCloud Backup (see below).

Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, the app will:

  • Write completed workout sessions to Apple Health (type, duration, start/end time).
  • Read relevant health data to provide workout insights within the app.

This data is stored and managed by Apple's HealthKit framework and governed by Apple's privacy policy. CrispyCore does not transmit your HealthKit data to any external server.

iCloud Backup

If you enable iCloud Backup, your workout history and settings are backed up to your personal iCloud account. This data is stored in your private iCloud container and is not accessible to Octo Studio or any third party.

GitHub Program Import

When importing workout programs from GitHub, the app makes a network request to GitHub's public API to fetch program files from public repositories. No personal data is sent in these requests.

What We Do Not Collect

  • No name, email address, or personally identifiable information.
  • No analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or advertising networks.
  • No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
  • No data shared with third parties.

Data Deletion

All app data is stored on your device and/or your personal iCloud account. Delete the app to remove all local data. To remove iCloud backups, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

To remove HealthKit data, open the Health app → Browse → Activity → Workouts, find sessions recorded by CrispyCore, and delete them individually.

Children's Privacy

CrispyCore does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is rated 4+.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
